Summer Playoff

1. The Game Mode

  1. A Tarkov-tailored and asymmetric Capture the Flag;
  2. One team against another;
  3. Each team picks a role, Attacker Team (AT) or Defender Team (DT);
  4. 2 rounds will be played on the same map with teams swapping roles.

2. Map

  1. Specific locations, in each chosen map, are designated as Base of Operations (BoO);
  2. BoOs are usually large buildings or small complexes, meant to be structured spaces, defendable but with multiple routes for attacks;
  3. Each BoO is paired with two specific Escape Routes (ER), called extractions, one for the DT and one for the AT;
    1. Should the map not possess enough secure extractions regulated by EFT, custom ERs will be assigned, with special rules for a custom extractions detailed later.
  4. Each BoO will have one room, a confined space or a protected area, called CORE, the “flag room” of this mode;
  5. All locations and roles and pairings are known to both teams;
  6. There will be at least 2 BoOs available for each map with associated ERs; 
  7. The DT, once spawned, chooses the BoO they like. The choice is then relayed to the AT by the judges.

3. The Rules of Engagement

  1. Each match starts with a Grace Time (GT) of 5:30 minutes;
  2. The DT has to reach the BoO before the GT is up, penalty forfeiture of the match;
  3. Both teams cannot fight each other during the GT;
  4. The AT has to wait for the GT to expire before moving toward the BoO;
  5. Once the DT reaches the BoO the GT is considered expired;
  6. Once reached the BoO the DT has to wait inside the BoO’s general area for 1:30 minutes before aggressively patrolling outside the BoO;
  7. A round may last 25 in-raid minutes.

4. The Flag

  1. Inside the CORE the DT has to drop the INTEL (a bag containing a token item) and the INTEL act as the “flag”;
  2. Once in the BoO the DT has 2 minutes to drop the INTEL in the CORE, penalty forfeiture of the match;
  3. The DT cannot move the INTEL around once dropped, penalty forfeiture of the match (unfortunate clipping or glitching allows the DT to reposition the INTEL);
  4. The INTEL bag cannot be put into another bag or used as a container, penalty forfeiture of the match;
  5. It is wise to assume handling of the INTEL requires caution and players are advised against manipulating it or it’s content in any way, once looted;
  6. Once the INTEL is compromised by the AT rule 4.3. decades;
  7. Besides the case described in rule 4.2 and 4.3., once looted the INTEL cannot be dropped, period; of course, it can be looted from a dead body.

5. Victory Conditions:

  1. For the Attacker Team: 
    1. The player carrying the INTEL escapes from the designated ER.
      1. For ERs already regulated by EFT, extracting from the raid equals 5.1.1..
      2. For customs ERs, the player with the INTEL has to hit the designated ER with a melee weapon, drop prone and load bullets into a set magazine; successfully filling the magazine equals the 5.1.1..
    2. Kill the entire enemy team.
  2. For the Defender Team:
    1. Protect the INTEL till time is up;
    2. Kill the entire enemy team;
    3. The player carrying the INTEL escapes from the designated ER once it is recovered from the AT.
      1. For ERs already regulated by EFT, extracting from the raid equals 5.1.1..
      2. For customs ERs, the player with the INTEL has to hit the designated ER with a melee weapon, drop prone and load bullets into a set magazine; successfully filling the magazine equals 5.1.1..
  3. When the INTEL is compromised but no one is able to extract it before timeout, a Draw happens.

6. Tie-breakers

  1. When both teams achieve one victory a tie-breaker rule is needed to determine the winner;
  2. The fastest team to have achieved victory wins the tie;
  3. In the edge case of 2 victories by Timeout or 2 Draws by Timeout (both teams fail to extract with the INTEL once it is compromised) a Tie-breaker round will be played, following all the rules above mentioned plus the following:
    1. Rule 1.4. decades.
    2. Rule 5.3. decades.
    3. When the INTEL is compromised but no one is able to extract it before timeout, team A wins.

Public Servers and You

To maximize the chances to match on the same server and fairplay, special measures are taken:
  • Preset-Accounts are given to the players, and each accounts “knows” the judges as friends.
  • Each Squad has a judge assigned to it, as judges will be inviting them in the raid on a Server secretly picked before.
  • Judges will be joining the players in the raid, to reduce possible random players, and then they will dc.
