Badlands Tournament

Players

Private accounts will be provided 1 hour before the tournament starts. Players may start setting up the accounts (loadouts, settings, etc.) once they have checked in. Players are not allowed to run raids on these accounts (scav or PMC) before tournament start.

Players are required to check in 45 minutes before the game start time and may set up their accounts within this time. Players will play each map 1 time.  Once all maps have been played 1 time, players may retry each map as many times as they wish within the time limit given, the maps can be played in any order. Raids outside of the time limit will not count. The highest pointing run will be the one used for scoring.  If a run scores lower than the previous score than the previous score will be used. Pictures or clips showing the kill screen must be sent in for raids that need to be scored as well as state which map was played. Players are not allowed to use their scavs and may only run Customs, Reserve, and Factory. Servers will be set to auto select.  Games will be played on preset private accounts. Presets will be disclosed once players are announced.

Streaming on Twitch is required to participate in this Tournament. Live VOD must remain visible for at least 3 days after the streaming ends and shall be public.

Players can contact their designated moderator or a head moderator during the event for questions or any problems that may arise.

Scoring

Contestants will send in pictures of their scoring and will state how many of each kill type they have and which map they played. This should consist of at least 1 picture, which must show the after raid kill screen.

Maps being played:

  • Customs;
  • Reserve;
  • Factory;

Scoring items and points:

  • Scav kills: Each scav kill is worth 0.5 points each, this includes sniper scavs;
  • Raider kills: Each raider kill is worth 1 point each;
  • Guard kills: Each Guard is worth 1 point each;
  • Boss kills: Each Boss kill is worth 2 points each (Reshala, Gluhar, Tagilla);
  • Unconfirmed PMC kills: Unconfirmed PMCs (??? in kill screen) are worth 2 points;
  • Confirmed PMC kills: Confirmed PMCs (named PMCs in kill screen) are worth 5 points;

In case of tie, the ranking will be defined by the most number of headshots (in case of further tie the ranking will be defined by the number of kills with this priority: PMC > Scav).

All scoring will be done using the kill screen.  All kills will show which category they belong in. It will show either a PMC faction (BEAR, USEC), ??? for unconfirmed PMCs, Scav/Sniper, Raider, Guard, or Boss.  To score each kill type simply count up the amount of that type and multiply by the score amount for that kill type.

The players should inform the moderator of the number kills of each scoring type and must state which map was played. For scoring, moderators will simply confirm the numbers they have been told.

Players must run each map at least 1 time in no particular order. If they wish to try and improve their score they may choose to rerun each map as many times as they want. Only the highest scoring raid will be used for scoring.

Players must be out of their raids by the end of the 3 hour tournament time.  In the case a player is in a raid past the tournament play time then the raid is disqualified for scoring.  The player may use any method they wish to exit the raid once tournament play time is up and the run is disqualified.

Prohibited items and actions

Secure containers are not allowed to be used.

Contestants are not allowed to run any maps other than Customs, Reserve, and Factory.

Contestants may not run their scavs.

Contestants are prohibited from bringing in any thermal devices, .338 chambered guns, or handheld grenade launchers. Contestants may use these items if found in a raid only for the raid they found it in. Bringing in any prohibited items will disqualify a run.

Using ingame exploits to forcefully see through walls. Main exploit example is in areas where you can jam your head into a wall to see through the map.
